Photos exif editor mp4 mac5/24/2023 ![]() Evaluation and conclusionĭuring our testing we have noticed that the application carries out a task very quickly and without errors throughout the entire process. Furthermore, the software application lets you read or write compressed information, preserve the original date and time stamps for the new files, set the file processing order, filter files for processing by extensions, as well as execute multiple commands at the same time. You can view information stored in the raw file’s metadata, rename files according to their creation date, move or copy files into other folders by year and month, extract the preview image embedded in raw files, copy metadata from one file to another, as well as overwrite original information with something else.Īny EXIF tags can be edited, copied, removed or extracted from the files, while the tag orientation can be modified. The program works with a wide range of file formats, such as 3GP, FLAC, MP3, MP4, GIF, MOV, FLV, AVI, SWF, MPG, PNG, TIFF and BMP. It offers support for batch processing, which means you can perform operations for multiple files at the same time. I would definitely recommend this one.ExifTool is a command-line application built specifically for helping you read, write and edit metadata information for images, audio and video files. Lens filters would be a really great addition as well. It would be a little easier than completely, manually adding every lens and camera. It would be awesome if the developers could create a database of cameras and lenses, so that when you start to type an item's name, a drop-down would appear and allow you to choose from cameras/lenses that match the search term. You can add lenses, bodies, and film types to a catalog in the app, and then drag and drop them to images to add that data to the current image(s), truely excellent! In my opinion the developers could easily launch it as is because it works significantly better than any of the other EIGHT programs I tried. You can also batch edit metadata (like camera make and model, as well as artist/photographer name). It's absolutely crazy that there are no other half-decent options out there. You're able to easily edit Exif AND Metadata in batches, which is a must for a program like this that frequently deals with hundreds or thousands of pictures. I couldn't believe it took me so long to find something that actually did what I needed. I'm surprised development seems to have so long ago stopped, and more surprised nothing better has come along since.Ībsolutely phenomenal Exif editing software. It's already great but it could be truly excellent (and more stable). Film shooting continues to grow and there is most certainly a market for this sort of application with such ease of use and straightforward integration with EXIFTool. I'm sure a paid version would go over well. ![]() Would love an updated version from the author (or to see them appear at all again). JEXIFToolGUI is another very good utility for the tasks but I find it slower for my workflow and a bit overkill.ĪnalogExif contains bugs and has become more of challenge to use in recent years but none that I've not been able to workaround in some way. It has not been updated since 2013, which is roughly 2 years before I started using it, but it is now 2022 and I still use it the most, even despite better metadata capability within Lightroom and workflows offered from NegativeLabPro etc. I've tried quite a number Exif editors and tools to simplify film scans and related exif/iptc etc data and this one is the best combination of simple/straighforward/fast.
